Moxie is an exceptionally polished platform for coaches. Its forms, workflows, client portals, notes, files, scheduling, invoicing, and communication tools make it possible to create a professional and seamless client experience.
However, Moxie’s current Terms prohibit storing all clinical health-related, mental-health-related, and emotional-wellness intake data globally.
This creates a significant limitation for many coaching professionals—not only therapists or medical providers.
Clients naturally share information connected with:
stress and burnout
anxiety and overwhelm
grief and major life transitions
confidence and self-doubt
relationships and family challenges
ADHD and executive functioning
habits, sleep, and emotional regulation
trauma-informed personal development
Because Moxie provides intake forms, client notes, files, portals, and coaching workflows, many coaches may reasonably assume these tools can be used for ordinary coaching information without realizing that emotional-wellness content is prohibited.
I would love to see Moxie offer one or more of the following:
  1. A secure sensitive-data plan or environment
A compliant option designed for coaching and wellness professionals who need to store sensitive client information responsibly.
  1. Clear contractual permission and privacy support
Appropriate data-processing terms, security controls, retention and deletion options, breach procedures, and support for relevant privacy obligations.
  1. Granular privacy controls
Practitioner-only notes, restricted files, audit logs, configurable retention, stronger access permissions, and the ability to exclude sensitive records from AI processing and ordinary email notifications.
  1. Approved secure integrations
If Moxie does not wish to store this information directly, an integration with a secure intake and client-record platform would allow coaches to preserve Moxie’s excellent front-end experience.
  1. Clearer warnings inside the product
The restriction should be highly visible wherever users create forms, notes, files, and client workflows so that coaches do not unknowingly build unsupported systems.
This would help Moxie serve life coaches, health coaches, ADHD coaches, grief coaches, relationship coaches, trauma-informed coaches, EFT practitioners, and many other professionals whose work naturally involves sensitive personal information.
I have used and enthusiastically recommended Moxie because the platform is so thoughtfully designed. I would genuinely prefer to continue using it as the central system for my practice, and I believe many other coaches would benefit from this capability too.
